What is a wiki?

What is a "Case Study"?
The term "Case Study" is certainly one that means many things to many people. However, for the purposes of this Project, each Case Study will focus on one skill or approach from a learning and teaching experience somehow related to the University of Sheffield.

Getting Started
There is also an easy introduction to creating a Case Study in the DIY Guide: Submitting a Case Study in 5 Steps for you to follow.
One warning when editing this wiki: this software regularly logs you out so do remember to save your edits frequently (every 5 minutes or so). Or make your changes in Word and then simply paste your final changes here.
For further information, go to the Getting Started on the Case Study Wiki page. This includes all the information you need to know about templates, formatting, how to start a new page etc.
If you would like to comment on something you have read in a Case Study...
If you would like to comment on something you have read there are three ways to do this.
- Login, click on the "discussion" tab at the top of the relevant page (each page has a discussion page and is one of the reasons the Wiki format was chosen) and then add your comment by clicking on the + sign at the top of the page (don't forget to leave your name).
- At the end of each Case Study are Contact Details. Use them to get in touch with the people who have written the Case Study. Positive feedback is, of course, especially encouraged and something that perhaps does not happen enough.
- Contact Nadine Wills, the Case Studies Project Officer (at N.Wills@sheffield.ac.uk), and mention your ideas or comments to her. She can pass them on in whatever format is appropriate.
Looking for Particular Case Studies
The Looking for Particular Case Studies page is here. Since this Project is still in its first months, it is likely that sometimes you will look for something that you can't find. Please let us know. Post it on the Looking for Particular Case Studies page (if you don't have a Log in email casestudies@shef.ac.uk).
